ABOUT US
Rose has over 35 years of experience in highly hazardous chemical manufacturing plant operation with a track record of improved Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and process safety performance in all leadership roles held. She served as a Global Manufacturing Director for the Dow Chemical Company, leading manufacturing for the Chlor-Alkali, EDC/VCM, and Chlorinated Organics businesses. Rose also held Technology Director roles, responsible for process safety across global production facilities for multiple businesses. She was selected by the CEO as a member of Dow’s Global Leaders Team in 2012. After retiring from Dow in 2014, Rose held the role of Vice President and General Manager for a privately owned Chlor-Alkali producer, reporting directly to the owners of the company. She founded Bellwether Consulting LLC in 2019 and has consulted in the Oil/Energy sector.
Rose has a strong working knowledge of EH&S and security requirements for the chemical industry and served as a Site Emergency Manager for Dow’s largest integrated site in Freeport, TX. Rose also led culture change and work process implementation for the Freeport, TX site, was a business Six Sigma local champion and is Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) green belt certified. Her background includes extensive experience in plant operation, projects, process control, and turnaround management. She has leadership experience in all manufacturing related functions: Operations, Maintenance, Capital Projects, Laboratory, EH&S, and Human Resources.
Rose has served on the Chlorine Institute Board of Directors (2012-2019) and Chlorine Institute Executive Committee (2012-2013); Board of Directors for the Chemical Industry Council of California (2015-2019); and Board of Directors for Brazoria County United Way (2003-2004).
Rose earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering graduating summa cum laude from the University of Houston.
